This petition challenges the decision of the Government of Maharashtra dated 27.5.2005 withdrawing the facility of free electricity to agriculturist from 1.6.2005 and to give certain facilities and concessions to them from 1.6.2005. Petition is filed in the year 2006 and has remained pending since then. The Government of Maharashtra has not justified its decision by filing an affidavit. In the meantime, we assume that the Government of Maharashtra has taken different decisions at different times. So the decision of 27.5.2005 may not be enforced now and therefore, we are not inclined to decide the petition on merits. According to us, it has become infructuous now. 2.
