Perused the reply filed by the respondents. It appears that the petitioner has not yet completed the total period of imprisonment of 14 years, as calculated by the respondent. Therefore, the prayer of the petitioner to release him cannot be considered at this stage.

Hence, the Writ Petition stands rejected.

Since Mr.Kulkarni, the learned Counsel is appointed as an amicus curiae to prosecute the cause of the petitioner, his fees be paid as per the schedule of fees maintained by the High Court Legal Services Sub-Committee, Aurangabad.
