The learned counsel for petitioners submits that the land of petitioners' is taken in possession by respondents in the year 2003, as yet the amount of compensation is not paid to petitioners. In the year 2018, even, the amount payable to petitioners has been crystallized by respondents. Still they have not paid the said amount to petitioners. The petitioners are ready to execute sale deed since beginning.

The learned A.G.P. submits that the District Level Committee has given sanction to rate fixation in the meeting dated 05.09.2018. Thereafter, valuation chart has been prepared and demand has been sent on 09.09.2019. As and when the amount is received same will be paid to
(2) 20-WP-9239-2019 petitioners and sale deed in favour of State will be executed.

It is high time the respondents make payment of amount to petitioners. In the year 2003, the respondents have taken possession of petitioners' land, as yet petitioners have not received amount of compensation. The petitioners are deprived of their property since year 2003. The respondents are proceeding at the snail's pace. 4.
The valuation has been determined and amount payable to each petitioner is crystallized on 05.09.2018.

In the result, we pass following order:
ORDER
The respondents shall pay the amount of compensation as determined by the District Level Committee on 05.09.2018 (Page No.63) within a period of six (06) months and get the sale deed executed. The amount shall carry interest at the rate of 9% per annum from 01.10.2018 till the date of payment.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
