The petitioner is before this Court, seeking to derive the benefit of the decision in the matter of The Director (Admn. and HR) KPTCL Versus C.P. Mundinamani, AIR Online 2023 SC 275, decided by the Supreme Court. Petitioner is an Association of College and University superannuated teachers seeking one increment which they claim to have earned in last year, next before their superannuation on 30 June of the respective years.

Issue having been put at rest by the Supreme Court in the 1/2

960wp441.2020 matter of The Director (Admn. and HR) KPTCL (supra), we allow the petition and declare that the petitioners are entitled to one notional increment which they have earned on 01st of July of the year in which they stood retired.

4, The respondents shall assess and disburse the consequential benefits by resorting to re-fixation of pension including the other pensionary benefits, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within four months.
