Heard learned Advocate for the petitioner. He is relying upon Section 126 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and submits that the respondent has not given the assessed bill and though the application was given on 07.07.2025, it has not been responded. There is no question of independent assessment of the electricity charges or bills when it comes to theft as contemplated under Section 135 of the Electricity Act.

When Section 127 of the Electricity Act has been pointed out, learned Advocate for petitioner seeks liberty to withdraw the petition upon instructions from the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority.

In view of the above, the petition stands disposed of as withdrawn, with liberty as aforesaid.
