The petitioner claims to be District Awardee Teacher and seeks benefit of one additional increment in tune with the Circular dated 12th December, 2000.

The petitioner rely on the Judgment of Division Bench at Nagpur in Writ Petition No. 625 of 2016, dated 17th November, 2017 and the Judgment and Order dated 5th April, 2018 in Writ Petition No. 8165 of 2017. It has been held that the benefit of additional increment to the District
2 wp 9139.18 Awardee Teachers was not taken away.

Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 after confirming that the petitioner is the District Awardee Teacher, shall consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of additional increment as per Circular dated 12th December, 2000 and the Judgments of this court at Nagpur dated 05.04.2018 in Writ Petition No. 8165 of 2017 and Writ Petition No. 625 of 2016, dated 17th November, 2017. The said decision be taken expeditiously and preferably within a period of four (04) months. In case the petitioner is found eligible as directed above, then the monetary benefits shall be granted with effect from June-2015. The arrears shall be released expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months.

The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
