2 WP8385.2016 CORAM : R. M. BORDE & A. M. DHAVALE, JJ.

DATE : 28TH JULY, 2017.

ORDER:- 1.

Both the writ petitions relate to the restriction imposed by the Director of Technical Education in respect of the intake capacity of the petitioner-college to admit the students for taking education in technical courses. Since the college was permitted intake of 180 students as approved by the AICTE, and in consonance with the prayers made in the petition the purpose of presenting the instant petitions is served. The petitions were presented seeking relief in respect of enhanced admission capacity for the technical courses in relation to academic year 2016-17. Since the academic year has come to an end and since the petitioner was permitted to admit the students in view of the interim order passed by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the matter of Orissa Technical Colleges Association Vs. AICTE and another in Special Leave to Appeal (Civil) No.

7277 of 2014 and since it has been observed that the permission accorded to the college to admit the students is subject to outcome of the SLP pending with the Supreme Court, the purpose of presenting the instant writ petitions is served. Writ Petitions stands disposed of.
