The petitioner is a student whose claim of belonging to "Thakur Scheduled Tribe Community" is pending validation since 25/06/2021. The vigilance inquiry is in progress. Since she would be aspiring to join a professional course, it is prayed that the Competent Committee should decide the claim within one month.

The learned AGP appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that there are more than 8000 matters which are made time bound under the orders of the High Court. He, therefore, submits that as the committee always gives preference to the cases of students and as the

WP 9099-2022 committee cannot hurriedly decide a claim since this results in further complications, he submits that time may be granted at least till January, 2023.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. We expect the competent committee to decide the pending claim of the petitioner, on or before 30/11/2022. The petitioner would render cooperation to the committee and would not seek adjournments on unreasonable or trivial grounds, lest the committee would be justified in progressing to the next stage in the matter.
