Heard learned Counsel for the parties.

By way of this petition, the petitioner has sought directions to respondent No.3 to decide his representations dated 20.06.2015 and 8.7.2015 under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, within a stipulated period.

In response to the argument of the learned Counsel for the petitioner, learned APP appearing for the respondents - State submits that already N.C. Has been registered. However, it appears that

1058.15crwp the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 is an enactment especially made for senior citizens.

In the circumstances, we direct respondent No.3 to decide the application dated 20th June, 2015 filed by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and preferably, on or before 7th September, 2015, keeping in view the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and if necessary, hear the petitioner and communicate the decision to the petitioner.

Petition stands disposed of, accordingly.

Learned APP to communicate this order to the respondent No.3, in addition to service of order on respondent No.3 by the petitioner.
