We have heard Mr. Hon, senior advocate for the petitioner.

The learned senior counsel submits that, the petitioner is granted extension of term upto 23.10.2021. No steps are being undertaken for holding the elections. The elections are postponed up to 23.10.2021 under the general order passed by the State. The petitioner is after the Authorities to take steps for conduct of elections. The petitioner has deposited an amount of Rs.1,00,000/-. The respondents be directed to take steps for holding the elections. The petitioner would file application for extension.

We have also heard learned A.G.P.

The petitioner has already granted extension upto 23.10.2021. As per the policy decision of the State, the elections of A.P.M.C. are postponed upto 23.10.2021. It is for the State to take necessary steps with regard to the conduct of elections depending upon the circumstances prevailing.

The petitioner shall file application for extension of the term preferably within a period of 10 days from today.

In case, respondents are not in a position to hold the elections prior to the expiry of the term of the Managing Committee of the petitioner A.P.M.C., then respondents-Authorities shall take decision upon the application of the petitioner for extension of its term on or before 20.10.2021. 7.

With the aforesaid observations, writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
