We have briefly heard the learned advocates for the respective sides.

The learned advocate for the petitioners submits, on instructions, that the petitioners desire to withdraw these petitions with a request that the arbitration applications be decided expeditiously.

The learned advocates for the respective respondents submit that the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, itself provides that the arbitration proceedings should be concluded within one year.

Since the notices have already been issued in the arbitration applications, which have been preferred in 2019, we are of the view that a time frame could be granted for

*3* adjudicating upon these applications.

In view of the above, these Writ Petitions are disposed off as withdrawn.

We expect the learned Arbitrator to decide the pending arbitration proceedings as expeditiously as possible and preferably on or before 30th April, 2023. The claimants as well as the Department shall extend wholehearted cooperation to the learned Arbitrator for the adjudication of the arbitration applications within the time frame.
