The petitioner who is already possessed of a tribe certificate in the prescribed form issued under Rule 4(6) and 5(2)(a)(b) of the Maharashtra Act No. XXIII of 2001, is requesting for issuance of tribe certificate in the format prescribed by the Central Government. Her application is pending with the respondent/Competent Authority since 05.08.2022 (Exhibit-E).

We dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent to issue tribe certificate to the petitioner in the format prescribed by the Central Government as expeditiously as possible and in any case within one week.
