The learned counsel submits that petitioner has filed application for conversion of land from Class-II to Class-I on account of petitioner being project affect person and the matter is pending with respondent no.

The Deputy Commissioner (Rehabilitation) has communicated to the Deputy Collector (Rehabilitation) to do the needful. Learned AGP accepts notice for respondents and submits that authorities shall take steps in accordance with law.

It appears that on 8.9.2017 the Deputy Commissioner (Rehabilitation), Nashik, in writing communicated respondent no. 4 to take further steps with regard to the application of the petitioner for conversion of land from Class II to Class I.

In case, the application of the petitioner for conversion of their land from Class II to Class I are pending with respondent No. 4, then respondent No. 4 shall take decision upon the same in accordance with law and policy expeditiously on his own merits, preferably within six months.

Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
