Mr. Golegaonkar, learned advocate submits that the petitioners have filed applications for issuance of tribe certificate on 16.11.2015. Inspite of the fact that two years have lapsed, the Sub-Divisional Officer has not decided it.

Learned AGP states that the Sub-Divisional Officer would decide it on its own merit, if the applications are pending.

In-case, the applications filed by the petitioners for issuance of tribe certificate are pending with respondent No.2, then respondent No.2 shall decide the same on its own merit and in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within four months. 5.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
