Order :- 1.
The petitioner claims to be belonging to Scheduled Caste and is in receipt of caste certificate issued by the competent authority containing certification accordingly. The petitioner has been admitted to B.E. Degree course in respondent No. 2 - College as against seat reserved for Scheduled Caste category. The caste certificate issued in favour of petitioner is referred for verification to respondent No. 4Scrutiny Committee and the caste certificate verification proposal is stated to be pending. As result, on account of failure to submit validation certificate within prescribed period by the petitioner, the respondent No. 1 - University has not declared the result of second semester of B.E. Examination held in May- 2016 and petitioner is yet not permitted to secure the admission in the next year by respondent No. 2-College.

In the facts of the case, this petition can be disposed of by directing respondent No. 4 -Scrutiny Committee to take decision on the proposal in respect of caste verification pertaining to the petitioner, which is pending before it, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from today and it is accordingly directed.

Respondent No. 1-North Maharashtra University is directed to declare the result of petitioner for second semester of B.E. Course examination held in May, 2016. On declaration of the result, it is open for the petitioner to secure admission for next year B.E. Degree course. Respondent No. 2-College shall not deny the admission to the petitioner only on the ground of failure to submit validation certificate. Admission of the petitioner to the next year B.E. Degree course in respondent No. 2-College shall be subject to decision of proceedings in respect of caste certificate verification claim pending with respondent No. 4-Committee.
