By order dated 8th April, 2015, respondent no.1 was directed to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment in accordance with advertisement and relevant rules. 2.

This order was challenged before the Supreme Court by filing SLP (C) No.80/2016 by the State. SLP and Appeal Nos.1116611167/2013 are disposed of on 06.02.2025 by following order :- "SLP (C) No.80/2016 1) It is informed that the respondent - Seema has secured lesser marks than the marks obtained by the last appointed candidate in her category in the recruitment process. Therefore, looking to the nature of the directions of the High Court, regarding consideration of the claim of the respondent for recruitment in accordance with the relevant rules and in terms of advertisement, is not required to be interfered with, leaving the question of law open for decision."

In view of the above observations since the case of the petitioner was considered and since she had secured lesser marks than the marks obtained by the last appointed candidate in her category in the recruitment process, the respondents have rightly denied the appointment.

In view of the above, the order is complied with. Hence, contempt petition is disposed of.
