The learned counsel for petitioners states that, the petitioners have filed an application with the Special Land Acquisition Officer for grant of rental compensation in March 2016. However, no decision is taken upon it as yet. 2.

The learned Additional Government Pleader states that, in case such an application is pending, the authority will decide it on its own merits.

In case the application is filed by petitioners (Exhibit - C) and the same is pending with the Special Land Acquisition Officer, then the competent authority shall decide the same on its

(08) months from today. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
