The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, award has been passed. The petitioner filed reference U/Sec. 18 of the Land Acquisition Act and same is partly allowed. However, rental compensation is not awarded. The petitioner has filed an application for rental compensation with the Special Land Acquisition Officer on 15.07.2020. Same is not yet decided. 2.

The petitioner shall file the copy of order passed by the Reference Court before the respondent No. 3. The respondent No. 3 shall decide the application of the petitioner for rental compensation on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy, after hearing all the parties concerned, expeditiously and preferably within a period of Nine (09) months from today.

In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
