The petitioner seeks permission to terminate the pregnancy. 2.

The petitioner was referred to expert committee at Government Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad. The expert committee examined the petitioner and submitted its report. Relevant part of the report reads thus:

The Committee has recommended termination of pregnancy by medical method. The committee has further opined that surgical intervention and blood transfusion may be required. Risk involved in the said procedure is explained to the patient and her husband. Mr. Shelke, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is explained about the risk involved in termination of pregnancy and the petitioner wants to proceed further with termination of pregnancy.

In light of above, the petitioner is permitted to terminate the pregnancy as per the procedure recommended by the expert committee at the Government recognized centre.

Writ petition disposed of. No costs.
