) ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: R.M. Borde, J) Rule.

With the consent of the parties, petition is taken up for final decision at admission stage.

An application tendered by the petitioner for issuance of

{2} wp 8944.16.odt caste certificate has been turned down by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Majalgaon.

The petitioner contends that, his father is a caste validity certificate holder and has been issued validity certificate by the Competent Scrutiny committee. In this view of the matter, there is no impediment for the Sub-Divisional Officer to issue caste certificate, as requested by the petitioner.

In this view of the matter, the order impugned in this petition, passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Majalgoan on 2.8.2016 is quashed and set aside and the respondent is directed to issue caste certificate, as requested by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of two weeks from today.

Rule is made absolute accordingly.

There shall be no order as to costs.
