The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits on instructions that, the Petitioner is operating a Social Club, which is covered by the 'Rules for Licensing and Controlling Places of Public Amusements (other than Cinemas) and Performances for Public Amusement, Including Cabaret Performances, Discotheque, Games, Pool Game Parlours, Amusement Parlours, Providing Computer Games, Virtual Reality Games, Cyber Cafes, Games With Net Connectivity, Bowling Alleys, Card Rooms, Social Clubs, Sports Clubs, Melas and Tamashas Rules,

9639.23wp (2) 1960'. Looking at the nature of the activities, he promises that he would change the name of this club and adopt a different appropriate name.

The prayer put forth by the Petitioner is, that the appeal pending before Respondent No.1 for challenging the refusal of renewal of the licence, vide order dated 18/07/2023, passed by the District Collector, be decided within a time frame. He has already lost his licence as on 18/07/2023. 3.

The learned A.G.P. submits on instructions that, the pending appeal would be decided within such a time frame as this Court may direct, keeping in view that there are 40 to 50 appeals that are pending.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. We expect Respondent No.1 to decide the pending appeal of the Petitioner and communicate the order to the Petitioner within 15 days.
