The petitioner seeks a direction from this Court that the caste certificate issued to the petitioner on 25.5.2010 be replaced by certificate in "C" form in terms of the Government Resolution dated 22 June 2016. According to the petitioner, the State Government has directed the concerned authorities to replace such caste certificate, if they have been already duly issued. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that, thereafter, the petitioner has made several applications for replacement of the

2 wp 8888.23 caste certificate, however, as on date, the Sub Divisional Officer, Jalgaon has not acted upon the request.

The Government Resolution dated 22 June 2016 issued by the State Government has directed that the caste certificate should be replaced immediately. Therefore, this is a matter in which the Collector, Jalgaon should look into as the contention of the petitioner is that the Sub Divisional Officer is not obeying the orders issued by the State Government. 3.

The Collector will call for the report from the concerned Sub Divisional Officer with his explanation and, if it is found that it is not satisfactory, then it is open for the Collector to initiate action as he deems fit.
