Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. The learned counsel submits that the ward formation is not in accordance with the rules.

The change of wards was on account of political interference.

Mr. Kadethankar, learned counsel for the State Election Commission and the learned A.G.P. submit that the election

929 wp 8362-20.odt programme has been declared on 15th December, 2020. The finalization of ward was done in March, 2020 and because of COVID-19 the final ward list was published on 27th October, 2020.

The objections raised by the parties were considered and decided on 17th March, 2020, wherein the objections were partly accepted.

After the objections were received, the authorities inspected and they found that there is some diference in the spot inspection report of the Talathi and as such it was necessary to change wards. The same has been done by the authorities upon subjective satisfaction based on the objective assessment of the facts on record.
