Mr.Lakhakar, learned counsel submits that petitioner has participated in the Jump Rope Tournament held by the Maharashtra Jump Rope Association. It was a State Level Tournament. The petitioner is entitled for the benefit of 25 marks. The shortfall for passing SSC examination is 15 marks. 15 marks are required to be added as per Circular dated 1.1.2011, as submitted across the Bar which is issued U/s 52(2)(3) of the Maharashtra State Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1977. The learned counsel submits that the said Rope Jump would come under the Field Sports.

Ms.Mahajan, learned counsel for the Respondent-Board submits that the Rope Jump does not come in any of the Sports categories and approved in the list of Sports. 4.
Learned counsel relies on the Annexure IV of the Circular issued by the Board, more particularly, on 1.1.2011. 5.
We have considered the submissions. The Field Sports are detailed in the said Circular which includes Running, Marathon Cross Country, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Discus throw, Javelin throw etc. but nowhere Rope Jump is included in it. 6.
