The Petitioner's father was the Havildar in the Indian Army having it's headquarter at Hyderabad. After he passed away, the widow was receiving pension till March, 2014. She passed away in 2014. The Rules permit the widowed daughter to claim pension since the eligibility of a widowed daughter is accepted. It is after almost 10 years that the Petitioner (widowed daughter of the deceased employee) has raised this ground for pension. Her representation dated 10.06.2024 is pending with Respondent No.2.

The learned Standing Counsel for the Union of India submits that the representation would be considered and all discrepancies and deficiencies would be gone into and the conclusion would be drawn within 60 days from today. 3.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off expecting Respondent No.2 to deal with the representation dated 10.06.2024, within 60 days from today. If Respondent No.2 is short of time, a Civil Application for extension of time shall be filed.
