This Court vide order dated 02/03/2023 in Criminal Writ petition No.1464/2015, directed the State Government to pay Rs.10,00,000/- as compensation on account of death in custody. Petitioners are the parents, widow and children (minor) of the deceased.

Learned AGP to deposit cheque in the sum of Rs.10,00,000/- in this Court, for being paid to the petitioners. Registry shall then disburse the said amount equally amongst petitioner No.2 mother, petitioner No.3 widow and petitioner Nos.4 and 5 minor children of the deceased. The amount payable to petitioner Nos.4 and 5 minor children shall be kept in Fixed Deposit in any of the nationalized bank, until they attain age of majority. 3.
