The petitioners have filed the application for grant of rental compensation only in March 2019 and have approached this Court seeking direction for expeditious disposal.

We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned A.G.P.

When the application has been filed before the authority, the authority certainly would decide the same in accordance with law. We cannot direct the authority to decide the proceeding for rental compensation within a short time. The application has to be decided after hearing the acquiring body also.

If the application for rental compensation is not decided by the authority within nine months, then liberty to the petitioner to move this Court.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
