The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the validation proceeding is pending since 2012, the same is not yet decided.

Learned AGP accepts notice for respondent and states that in case the validation proceeding is pending, then the respondent would decide it in accordance with law.

Eight years is too long a period for keeping the matter pending.

The petitioner shall appear before the committee on 21.01.2021. The committee shall endeavour to decide the proceeding expeditiously and preferably within six (6) months. The parties shall cooperate in expeditious disposal of the proceeding. 5.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
