The caste claim of the petitioner belonging to KoliMahadev Scheduled Tribe is pending before respondent no.2/Caste Scrutiny Committee and, therefore, the petitioner is seeking direction that his caste claim be decided within the stipulated period. 3.

We dispose of this writ petition by directing respondent no.2/Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of nine months from today. 4.

Till the decision of caste claim of the petitioner, the employer of the petitioner shall not take any coercive steps against the petitioner.

It is made clear that the protection granted by us to the service of the petitioner is subject to outcome of the proceedings taken up by the Caste Scrutiny Committee.
