The petitioner claims to have belonged to 'Rajput Bhamta' Vimukt Jati (VJ). Respondent no. 2 - Scrutiny Committee, refused to grant the petitioner validity certificate. He is, therefore, before us. 2.

During hearing of the matter, it was brought to our notice that the petitioner relies on validity certificates issued in favour of his uncle and cousins as well. The Scrutiny Committee found the petitioner to have failed to establish relationship with those validity holders. Before us, it was pointed out that there were some typographical mistakes in the affidavit and genealogy furnished by the petitioner's father.

Learned AGP disputes the relationship between the petitioner and the validity certificate holders. 4.

In such circumstances, the only course open for us is to remand the matter back to the Scrutiny Committee with a direction to

920.odt give the petitioner an opportunity to adduce evidence/material to establish his relationship with the validity holders. 5.

In view of the above, Writ Petition is allowed in terms of the following order :

ORDER

i.

The impugned order is set aside.

ii.

The matter remitted back to the Scrutiny Committee to do the needful in terms of the observations made herein above.

iii.

The exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. iv.

Writ Petition stands disposed of.
