The petitioner has put forth prayer clause 'B' as under :- B) This Hon'ble Court by way of appropriate writ, order or directions in the like nature writ of mandamus, may kindly be directed to the respondents to decide the proposals/ representations dated 09/03/2017, 31/12/2018, 13/8/2019, 7/9/2020, 17/02/2021 before learned Commissioner, Jalgaon Municipal Corporation in respect of absorption of petitoner on the post of Jr. Engineer and to start pay for the post of Jr. Engineer from the date of appointment.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that his representation dated 9.3.2017 can be decided. The subsequent representations are reminders or in continuation thereof. 3.

We have perused the representation dated 9.3.2017. The petitioner has prayed that though he is appointed as an Overseer on 12.3.2013, he has been consistently discharging the duties of a

WP 9947/22 Junior Engineer. As he has been working as a Junior Engineer for a long time, he should be treated and deemed to be a Junior Engineer. Consequentially, he should be granted the pay scale of such post. 4.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. We direct respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 9.3.2017, as expeditiously as possible and preferably, on or before 30th December, 2022. The petitioner shall serve the copy of this order to respondent No. 2 within 15 days.
