The petitioner has put forth prayer clause 'B' as under :- B) This Hon'ble Court by way of appropriate writ, order or directions in the like nature writ of mandamus, may kindly be directed to the respondents to decide the proposal/representation dated 30/10/2015, 09/03/2017 and further direct respondent no. 2 to absorb present petitioner for the post of Jr. Engineer and grant pay scale for the post of Jr. Engineer from the date of appointment.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that his representation dated 30.3.2015 can be decided. The subsequent representation is a reminder or in continuation thereof. 3.

We have perused the representation dated 30.3.2015. The petitioner has prayed that though he is appointed as a Surveyor on 27.2.2008, he has been consistently discharging the duties of a Junior Engineer. As he has been working as a Junior Engineer for a

WP 9958/22 long time, he should be treated as and deemed to be a Junior Engineer. Consequentially, he should be granted the pay scale of such post.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. We direct respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 30.3.2015, as expeditiously as possible and preferably, on or before 30th December, 2022. The petitioner shall serve the copy of this order upon respondent No. 2, within 15 days.
