We have heard Mr Phatale, learned Advocate for the petitioners and Mr Lakhotiya, learned AGP for Respondent Nos.1 and 2.

The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the application of the petitioners for issuance of caste certificate is rejected. The appeal preferred challenging the rejection of the application is pending before the Scrutiny Committee. The learned Counsel further submits that the cousin uncle of the petitioners has been issued with the caste certificate under the orders of this Court. Gajanan

In case the cousin uncle of the petitioners is issued with the caste certificate under the orders of this Court, the said aspect certainly will have to be considered by the Committee. 4.

Respondent No.1 - Committee shall endeavour to decide the appeal filed by the petitioners, preferably by 15-11-2021. 5.

The petitioners may appear before the Committee on 07-10-2021.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
