This petition is filed for a limited purpose seeking a direction to the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the Petitioner as belonging to the Thakur Scheduled Tribe, within a stipulated period of time.

It is submitted that there is urgency in the matter because the Petitioner is a student who desires to take admission in Diploma Course of Engineering and the last date for submitting the validity certificate is 05.09.2025. The learned AGP submits that since the matter is pending before the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee for vigilance cell inquiry reasonable time may be granted.

Considering the urgency in the matter, we dispose of the Writ Petition by directing the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the Petitioner at the earliest and in any case before 31.08.2025.
