By this petition, the petitioner has put-forth prayer clause (B), which reads as under :- "B) By issuing writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, the respondents may kindly be directed to upgrade the services of the petitioner to the post of Full Time Librarian since from his initial date of appointment i.e. from 11/06/1992, for all purposes."

On 09.12.2019, this Court had passed the following order:- "1.

Learned AGP states that the proposal from the Management, submitted during pendency of writ petition, is awaiting decision.

2.

Stand over to 03-02-2020.

3.

Hopefully the concerned authority would decide on the 1/2

911-wp-14863 OF 2017.odt proposal by next date."

The learned AGP submits that the issue is now pending before the Principal Secretary, School Education and Sports Department, State of Maharashtra and he would decide the proposal within two months considering the instructions received by the learned AGP through the nodal officer.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with a direction that the said proposal be decided by the State Authority, on or before 02.05.2022. The request for extension of time will not be entertained. Decision taken by the competent authority shall be forthwith communicated to the petitioner. If the grievance of the petitioner still subsist, he would be at liberty to avail of the remedy as is permissible in law.
