The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the salary of the petitioner is stopped on the ground that the caste claim of the petitioner is invalidated. The petitioner is appointed from General category. The petitioner has not been given benefit of reservation.

The learned A.G.P. accepts notice for respondents no. 1 to 3 and submits that the petitioner has filed an appeal against the order dated 18.02.2020, passed by the Project Officer directing the management to discontinue the services of the petitioner.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the appeal filed is still pending and not decided.

The petitioner, in the pending appeal, can also make a request regarding release of salary. The appeal is pending before respondent no.2. 5.

Respondent no. 2 shall endeavour to decide the appeal expeditiously, on its own merits, preferably within a period of six (06) months. The petitioner may make an application in the pending appeal for release of salary. Such an application shall also be considered by the appellate authority on its own merits.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
