Mr. Patil, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the advertisement issued by the respondent for appointment of Legal Officer on contract basis, the petitioner had applied. The written examination was held. Thereafter, the petitioner was also called for interview. The respondent without publishing the merit list, directly published the selection list. The selection process was not conducted in proper manner. In the selection list, only names of the candidates and office of the posting is shown. The whole list is sham.

The petitioner does not even remotely stand a chance. There are 50 candidates above the petitioner in merit. We have perused the original list signed by all the members of the selection committee.

The case does not have any merit. Writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
