The petitioner is objecting to the formation of wards finalized by the Collector for the purpose of election. The objection was raised by the petitioner mainly in respect of inclusion of an area known as "Ambyacha Mala" in Ward No.5. The objection has been considered by the Collector and it is noticed that the formation of ward is in accordance with Bombay Village Panchayats (Number of members, Divisions into Wards and Reservation of Seats) Rules, 1966 (for short "Rules of 1966"). Since it is noticed that mandate of Rule 3 of
( 2 ) wp10181.17 the Rules of 1966 has been observed and wards have been formed in accordance with principles laid down under the Rules, no interference in the exercise of extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution is necessary to be caused.

The petition being devoid of substance, stands disposed of.
