The petitioner is impugning the order passed by the Divisional Commissioner in a proceeding under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966, thereby rejecting his application (Exh. 'F' ) and refusing to grant any interim relief as prayed for.

Considering the hierarchy of authorities, Appellate as well as Revisional, provided in Chapter XIII of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, the petitioner has an alternate and efficacious remedy in the form of a revision under Section 259 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code before the State Government against the impugned order. 4.

The Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to avail of the appropriate remedy.

Time spent in prosecuting the Writ Petition may be considered under Section 14 of the Limitation Act, 1963.
