Mr. S.B. Talekar, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Government has suspended the resolution of the Municipal Corporation vide order dated 7th January, 2017. The learned counsel, on instructions, states that the Muncipal Corporation has not raised any objection within thirty days. According to the learned counsel, the petitioners would be entitled for the salaries as per their pay scale prescribed for the posts alongwith annual increments, benefit of seniority, permanency, etc. from the initial date of appointment.

We have heard the learned counsel for the Municipal Corporation.

Pursuant to the order dated 7th January, 2017 passed by the State Government, suspending the resolution passed by the Municipal Corporation, the petitioners may move the representation before respondent No.2. On such representation being made, respondent No. 2 would consider the same and pass appropriate orders expeditiously, preferably within three months from the date of receipt of representation. With these directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
