The petitioner is claiming compensation of the land acquired way back in the year 1979, however, the award was passed in the name of her father.

The learned advocate for the acquiring body submits that perhaps the amount was deposited with the respondent No.3 - SLAO as is mentioned in the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2016 addressed to the Special Land Acquisition Officer. But perhaps because of the dispute amongst the family members, nothing was paid to her.

The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that since the award was passed in the name of her father, but there was some family dispute the amount was not paid. Now the dispute is over and the petitioner would be 1/2

54-WP-10293-2022.odt satisfied if the respondent No.3 is directed to consider her representation dated 16.06.2016.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent No.3 to take appropriate decision on the petitioner's representation/application dated 16.06.2016, as early as possible and in any event within six weeks from today. If the application is not available/traceable with his office, the petitioner may file a fresh application and the decision shall be taken within six weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
