Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned A.P.P. for the respondent.

The applicant seeks bail in C.R.No.168 of 2024 registered with Ashti Police Station, Jalna, District Jalna for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 452, 504 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

The applicant is 70 years old. He married his daughter with the assistance of the victim. However, her marital life was not happy. Therefore, the incident happened. It seems that the incident happened in a peculiar circumstances. Unfortunately, the applicant assaulted the injured on the vital part. However, she has been discharged from the hospital. The weapon has been seized. The material investigation has been completed. There are no antecedents to his discredit. The applicant is running 70.

918-BA-1527-24.odt Therefore, it would be unjustifiable to keep him behind bar. Hence, the order:-

ORDER

i) The application is allowed.

ii) Applicant - Raghunath Janardhan Thorat be released on bail, on furnishing PB and SB of Rs.50,000/-, with one solvent surety of the like amount, in the above crime for the aforesaid offences, on the conditions that, (a) He should not tamper with the prosecution witnesses. (b) He should not contact with the victim in any mode or manner till the trial is concluded.

(c) He should attend the police station on written notice as and when called by the Investigating Officer, till filing the chargesheet.
