Mr. Shinde, the learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the Acquiring Body has submitted proposal to the Collector for acquisition of the writ land. The Collector has given a sanction on 6th February, 2019 and the same has been forwarded to the Sub-Divisional Officer/Special Land Acquisition Officer.

In light of that, the purpose of the petition stands served. 3.

In case the proposal is forwarded to the Special Land Acquisition Officer as contended by the petitioner, the first notification shall be issued preferably within a period of three months from today and the acquisition be completed within the time stipulated under The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
