We have heard Mr. Deshmukh, the learned advocate for the petitioner. The learned advocate submits that, the proposal of the petitioner for 20% grant in aid has been recommended by the Commissioner of Education and the Director of Education and the same is pending with the State Government since 16th September, 2019.

On the last date, we had asked the learned Assistant Government Pleader to take instructions about the status of the proposal of the petitioner. The learned A. G. P. on instructions submits that, the State Government has returned back the proposals of 2500 institutions. Thereafter the same are processed
2 wp 3262.21 by the Director of Education. The Director of Education after processing the proposals will submit to the Commissioner of Education within a period of eight weeks and thereafter the Commissioner of Education would submit the same to the State Government and the same would take time.

It appears that, the issue of grant in aid is pending for more than two years with the State authorities. 4.
The Director of Education shall within a period of six weeks from today process the proposal of the petitioner for grant in aid and send it to the Commissioner of Education. The Commissioner of Education thereafter within a period of eight weeks shall process the proposal and submit it to the State Government. The State Government shall thereafter take decision upon the proposal of the petitioner for grant in aid, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from the date of receipt of the proposal from the Commissioner of Education.

With these observations the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
