ORAL ORDER :

Mr. Adkine, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have filed application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act in the year 1996 and the same is not yet decided.

The learned A.G.P., on instructions from the Deputy Collector, Land Acquisition, submits that the application filed by

Writ Petition No.10334/2012 the petitioners under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act is pending for adjudication.

3.

It is almost 20 years the application is pending. The authorities were expected to decide the same in accordance with law expeditiously.

4.

Considering the fact that the application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act is pending since 1996 (Exhibit B), we direct the respondent authorities to decide the same in accordance with law after hearing all parties concerned, expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from today.
