The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, application has been filed for grant of rental compensation in February 2020. The same is not yet decided.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader accepts notice for Respondent Nos. 1 and 2.

It appears that, the petitioner has not filed application with the respondent No. 2. The petitioner may file application for rental compensation to the respondent No. 2 afresh. Upon receipt of the application, the respondent No. 2 shall decide the same on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy, after hearing all parties concerned including the acquiring body, expeditiously and preferably within a period of nine (09) months

In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
