The judgments delivered by the Scrutiny Committee invalidating the caste claims of the petitioners are assailed. 2.

Amongst other submission, one of the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the petitioners could not place on record the validity certificate issued to two paternal cousins and also the vigilance report in the case of real cousin brother of the petitioners. The petitioners be given opportunity to produce the validity certificates issued to paternal cousins of the petitioners and also the vigilance report before the Committee. 3.

We have heard the learned AGP.

Considering that the matters involve social status of the petitioners, we are inclined to grant one more opportunity to the

petitioners in view of the additional documents. In the result, we pass the following order :-

ORDER

(i) The impugned orders are quashed and set aside and the parties are relegated before the Scrutiny Committee. (ii)The petitioners shall appear before the Committee on 4th April 2022 and place on record the additional documents on which the petitioners seek to rely.

(iii)The Committee shall thereafter decide the claims of the petitioners preferably within four months from the date of appearance of the petitioners.

(iv)Writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. (v) In view of the disposal of the writ petitions, civil applications stand disposed of.
