Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he has filed an appeal under Section 18(2) of the Money Lending Act, 2014 (Act) and the appeal is pending.

The learned AGP submits that the additional charge is given to Divisional Joint Registrar, Latur, to decide the matters under Section 18(2) of the 2014 Act. The concerned Authority, Latur is directed to decide the pending appeal and the interim application for stay as expeditiously as possible and in any event, the application for stay be decided within two weeks from the date of the receipt of this order. 4.

Petition is disposed off accordingly.

Status quo be maintained till the decision on the application for stay. However, the status quo is not granted on the merits of the matter, and the authority to decide the same in accordance with law without being influenced by his order.
