Mr. Jadhavar, learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Caste claim of the Petitioner as belonging to Koli Mahadev, Scheduled Tribe is invalidated.

Amongst other submissions, one of the submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner is that the old documents of the year1347 and 1351 Fasli are not verified by the vigilance and the Committee on it's own recorded it's finding.

The learned A.G.P. submits that the proceedings of the validity holders relied by the Petitioner are re-opened.

Considering the fact that the matter pertains to social status of the Petitioner, we are inclined to grant one more opportunity to the Petitioner.

The Committee may get the old documents i.e.
Pahani Patrak of the year-1347 and 1351 Fasli verified through vigilance and thereafter decide the proceeding afresh.
6.
The Petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 15.02.2022.
7.
The Committee shall, thereafter, endeavour to decide the proceeding to the extent of the Petitioner expeditiously and preferably within a period of four (04) months.
8.
The Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
