The petitioner is aggrieved by the validity certificate issued in favour of the contesting respondents ignoring the fact that their father' s caste certificate was invalidated.

In view of availability of alternate and efficacious remedy to file a complaint under Section 7 of the Maharashtra Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Denotified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Category (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of) Caste Certificate Act, 2000 the Writ Petition is dismissed keeping open the avenue for the petitioner to approach the Committee under Section 7 of that Act.
